Designed and constructed with participation of First Nations students and faculty, this 6000 square foot longhouse is based on Tsimshian tradition and also reflects the traditions of the seven First Nations whose traditional territories are represented at Coast Mountain College (formerly Northwest Community College). Locally sourced, healthy materials and design innovations with wood are found in this project which is designed to a LEED gold standard.
